Most merchants really need this module to accurately manage their inventory. This module adds the ability to create and fulfill Orders and track Backorders., track Serial Numbers, process RMAs (Returns To Vendors), and create Matrix items.
Perhaps the most important feature is the ability to track "Negative Inventory". Here's an example of a real life scenario.
Joe is the manager of a very busy shop. His most popular product (a bottle of vitamins) just sold out this morning. His computer inventory shows -0- on hand and he has -0- on the shelf. But Joe was thinking ahead and had ordered more stock. Luckily UPS just delivered a case of 12 of his hot vitamins. Of course there's a lot more product in the shipment and to check it in properly he needs to take about a half an hour to verify the vendor shipped what he ordered and take the time to enter the shipment into POSitive. But right now it's really busy in the store and he can't take the time to check in the shipment. One of his regular customers comes in to buy his monthly supply of vitamins. The customer goes to the shelf and sees it's out of stock. The customer asks Joe when he'll be getting more in. Joe remembers instantly that he just received a dozen bottles. Rather than lose a sale Joe opens his shipment and pulls a bottle out of the box and sells it to his customer. Pretty typical scenario isn't it?
With Negative Stock Tracking:
Our retail software remembers how far below -0- you sell. Negative stock tracking helps Joe in this situation because when Joe sells the vitamins, he'll have sold below -0- quantity (remember he can't take time to check in and enter the shipment into his software right now). When he finally checks in those 12 bottles and enters them into POSitive he would have 11 on hand and 11 in stock.
Without Negative Stock Tracking:
Inventory does not drop below -0- without Negative stock tracking . That means that after selling the vitamins Joe's inventory would not track the item he sold into negative inventory. When Joe enters his shipment of 12 bottles into POSitive his inventory will show 12 on hand. His physical inventory would be 11. His stock would be off by 1 and a manual adjustment would be required to correct the inventory.

Accounts Receivable Features

Add-on Modules
This module adds the ability to receive and track consignments. You can receive multiple consignments from the same person at once. You can define your own consignment agreement, and the system will track when the consignment was sold and how much money needs to be paid the consignor.

The Service module adds the ability to manage a Service Department. Easy to use Service Wizard makes adding service orders a snap. Track the status of the Service Order with Status descriptions you define. Track Work To Do, Work Done, and Internal Notes (Internal Notes do not print on the Customer Invoice or Service Order forms). Track phone calls to the customer. Log time spent by your service techs on each service order. Also lets you schedule outside appointments, and prints work orders. One click converts the Service Order into an Invoice. The Service History is then kept for easy reference.

The Quotes module lets you create and store Quotes for customers. You can create Packages and Subtotals. Quickly view and/or change cost, margin, quantities, and price. Print out or e-mail professional looking quotes. Quickly convert your Quote to a Layaway or Invoice (if you have the Advanced Inventory module, you can also convert to an Order).
Allows you to set pricing for items on a per-customer basis. Pricing is set per a contract number, and can expire after a certain date.
Adds the ability to track commissions for your salespeople, based on percentages or spiffs.
Premium Modules
This allows you to integrate with Yahoo Store. Allows quick posting of the items you choose from your Inventory to Yahoo Store. Also allows importing of orders retrieved from Yahoo Store into our point of sale software.
